Images as Art
I believe in the power of an image. Visuals convey so much without words.
I’m often asked if I Photoshop images. I’m careful with this question, because so many new and amateur photographers delve heavily into Photoshop skills so salvage an image. My goal in editing an image is to reveal what the subject is saying, to present them in the best light, to convey the love, emotion, or confidence that the person expresses.
My mother always said that the goal of wearing makeup was to look like you aren’t wearing makeup. In other words, to look like the best possible version of ourselves, without looking like someone you weren’t. My editing is the same. I want to make my clients look like the best possible versions of themselves – natural, beautiful, expressive.
